    Description

This clear or crystal Depression glass covered powder, candy or trinket jar has a 2" tall, nicely detailed finial with "three birds" on its lid
Manufactured by the L.E. Smith Company between the 1920's and 1940's, when animal figural containers were very popular, it is in very good condition, but it does have a few spots of roughness on the bottom of the lid, as well as on the rim of the jar (See the final two photos for examples).
The birds appear to be completely intact with no flecks or chips.
The jar base has an Art Deco look with four symmetrical, rectangular impressions running along a central band.
Standing 5" tall, this crystal covered powder jar was once a very useful, decorative toiletry item found on many ladies' dresser tops during the Depression era
