Description

A cabinet specimen with good coverage of mauve sussexite cleavages on a calcite/franklinite matrix. Red zincite, willemite and brown friedelite are also present. A typical association from the North Ore Body of the Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensburg, NJ. More of a daylight specimen, but the UV response is interesting. The sussexite is a faint maroon under shortwave. Size is 4-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 2". Weight is 12 oz. or 338 grams.
