    Description

    Sphalerite fluorescent mineral, Sterling Hill Mine, near Franklin NJ.  Hand-sized specimen of sparkling sphalerite, willemite, calcite, and franklinite. Fluoresces green, and orange in shortwave UV light; bright orange, and dull green in longwave UV, and phosphorescent.


    Features some large "reformed" franklinite crystals.


    Cabinet specimen, measures 3 3/4 inches x 3 x 2 1/2 inches, and weighs 2 pounds 5 ounces.
