    Description

    Norbergite, diopside fluorescent minerals, Franklin NJ.  Large hand-sized specimen of franklin marble, with rich coverage of yellow norbergite, some diopside, plus graphite throughout.  Fluoresces yellow and light blue in shortwave UV light.  Note: the dark blue of the background marble under UV is just reflected light.


    Big cabinet specimen, measures 5 inches x 4 3/4 x 2 inches, and weighs 2 pounds 13 ounces.
