    Description

    Hydrozincite fluorescent mineral, Sterling Hill Mine near Franklin, NJ.  Hand-sized specimen of calcite, willemite, zincite, and franklinite, with coatings of hydrozincite, and some fluorescent secondary zincite.  Fluorescent red, green, and bright blue in shortwave UV light; red and yellow in longwave UV.


    Cabinet specimen, measures 5 inches x 3 3/4 x 2 inches, and weighs 2 pounds 15 ounces.
